Is it cruelty free?

Hi there! At L’Oréal, we care for animal welfare and do not test on animals. We are for a world without animal testing. Since 1989, we have not tested the safety of our products on animals, 14 years before regulations required us to do so. There are effective non-animal ways to ensure the safety of cosmetic products. For example, over 40 years ago, L’Oréal pioneered the development of human reconstructed skin that is more accurate for analyzing how cosmetic ingredients and products will behave on human skin. Was this answer helpful to you

What do I rub the sunscreen with? When I use sunscreen after using the retinol serum, it leaves a white cast. I'd love it if you could send me a video on how to use it appropriately.

Hi there! Thank you for asking about the AM Facial Moisturizing Lotion SPF 30. We recommend applying your retinol serum separately from this product. You may use this moisturizer during the day and the retinol serum at night. You may also prefer the Skin Renewing Day Cream SPF 30 formulated with with SPF and encapsulated retinol that is gradually released into your skin. We hope you will take a look! Was this answer helpful to you

I use this every day

I'm glad I bought this before I read some of the negative reviews. Everyone has such different skin and I may have stayed away from this product once I read those, I'm glad I didn't! For reference: I am 44, acne prone, with dark skin and have eczema -- I'm allergic to a lot of products. I am also ...

Horrible reaction to this moisturizer!!

If I could give this zero stars I would! I bought this AM Facial Moisturizing Lotion because I ran out of my normal facial lotion during a business trip and had heard good things about CeraVe. I was so mistaken. Upon first application on my face the following day, it stung a little around my eye...

Pills horribly

Submitted 19 days ago

By caro

I've been using this for years and I'd say every ~3rd bottle I've had has pilled really terribly on my skin. I think the formula is too thick/dry, and in the process of trying to spread it out evenly, you will end up overworking it and creating white pills that are hard to remove from the skin. Like I said, this doesn't happen with every bottle (right now my friend has one that works great on me, while my bottle is pilling) but the price is far too high for quality control to be so poor. I think the cerave line got a little overhyped and now they've dropped the ball

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend to a friend

Greasy and burns

This moisturizer is terrible! It makes my face look super greasy even though I have dry skin, and it made my face sweat. It totally flared up my rosacea. Also it burned my eyes like crazy when it got too close. Usually love Cerave, hard pass on this

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend to a friend

This is one of many face lotions I've tried. its the only one that leaves your face still feeling clean no matter how many times you apply. doesn't effect the way your makeup looks and you cant smell the overpowering sunscreen smell when you use it. also only lotion that my husband can use due to sensitive skin. all around an amazing product

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend

I had to return this because it pilled up on me so bad & looked terrible under makeup. Also it had a white cast that took a ton of rubbing to get rid of. NOT recommended.
