Hi there! Would this be a good choice for a night time moisturizer as well, in conjunction with their Vitamin A serum? Also, does it clog pores? Many thanks in advance.
- Asked by Briggy
- Official Answer By Mad HippieThanks for reaching out! You may use the Face Cream as part of your morning or nighttime routine (or both)! It is a lightweight moisturizer that absorbs quickly and easily into the skin; it can be layered over any of our serums. It is rich in niacinamide, co-enzyme Q10, resveratrol, peptides, and tons of antioxidants that nourish the skin. The formula is non-comedogenic, but if you have very easily-congested skin, be sure to patch-test first. Please let us know if we can assist further. :)Was this answer helpful to you
- Q
Is this product richer in unsaturated fatty acids vs saturated fatty acids? I am trying to treat hyperpigmentation and would like a moisturizer that does not interfere with improvement/results. I noticed this product contains argan and safflower oil, but also coconut oil. Coconut oil is richer in saturated fatty acids, and some are linked to increased melanin production. I would like to know if this moisturizer would be okay for my skin routine based on the fatty acids concentrations.
- Asked by Kay
- Official Answer By Mad HippieThanks for reaching out! Our Face Cream is a wonderful option for reducing the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and discoloration. It utilizes fractionated coconut oil, which is a wonderful ingredient for hydrating without clogging pores. Fractionated coconut oil, also called MCT oil, is coconut oil that has had the long chain fatty acids removed leaving the mid-chain fatty acids. This allows the oil to remain in a liquid state without solidifying like virgin coconut oil does (making it better for cosmetic formulations) and it is also less likely to clog pores. As an added bonus, it is rich in antioxidants as well as vitamins A, C and E! We recommend trying it to see how it works for you. Please let us know if we can assist further. :)Was this answer helpful to you

Works Great for Me
I was a little skeptical about these products due to having used other serums and tons of face creams before that didn't provide results. However, after having done a lot of research I decided to give it a try. I have been using the Mad Hippy Vitamin C Serum, Mad Hippy Face Cream, and Mad Hippy Trip...

Scent is a bit strong; packaging is the worst
I actually like the cream itself (with one caveat). I appreciate the natural ingredients and that it is vegan. For my skin, it is moisturizing without being too heavy. The scent, however, is stronger than I would like and it lingers. It is somewhat floral, which I typically do not like, but this al...

Literally one of the worst products ive ever purchased. I ended up getting two MH products and regretted them almost immediately. Smells horrible and made my face breakout! I havent broken out in years!
MY HOLY GRAIL!!!!
I usually don't write reviews, but this isnt your usual product! As an acne prone, oily skin girl it was a struggle to figure out what my skin needed in terms of a moisturizer. I knew that heavy night creams might prevent wrinkles, but they ABSOLUTELY would break me out. However when I tried cheaper "one size fits all" brands (CeraVe, LaRP) they just didn't cut it for night time, and somehow left me with dry spots? Then the Mad Hippie brand came in like my night in shining armor!!! Y'all this moisturizer is SO versatile, and I really want to emphasize that as it's greatest attribute. It is heavy enough to be my night time cream in the summer, and lock in all my other serums underneath. But then it ALSO can act as my day time moisturizer in the winter because it absorbs quickly and sits PERFECTLY under makeup. After over a year of use the best part is it seems to truly heal your skin barrier and has never led to a breakout once. It is SOOO hydrating compared to products I've used it the past, you can see a difference in your skin almost immediately. My skin is plumped afterwards because it actually absorbs, as opposed to those "light weight" products that just sit on top. This product truly bridges the gap of what oily people need to hydrate their skin, all while it is still thin enough to be useful all year round to all kinds of people. PLUS you can rest assured that you are doing what's best for your body because of the all natural ingredients. This is truly the perfect product! Only con is the tube is a little small and it is hard to get 100% of the product out without scissors getting involved!!
Really good natural product
I really only use clean products and found this years ago in a natural foods store. Exciting to have it at ulta as I have one near my house. This product seems to have everything in it from green tea to niacinamide. I think the smell is just heavenly, it's faint but lightly fruity and refreshing.
Again and again and again
The one skincare products I come back to again and again. Don't ever change, please, as this formula is just perfect for my combination skin. A little goes a long way and the smell is just so fresh and addicting. I look forward to putting it on every morning.
Its just the best
I usually shop at Natural Grocers and found this product a year back. I was looking for something that was clean that had peptides so when i found this product I was excited. What made me really fall in love was how it just sinks right into my skin and is so softening
