The Vintage Cosmetic Company 8 Claw Octopus Heatless Hair Curlers

I have been experimenting with heatless rollers for my long, somewhat thinned hair. I have used the kinds that you just have 2 sections and have had success with nice waves. I decided to try this product with 8 sections to get more waves and volume. It worked for better than expected and 3 days later, the curls are still here. I had washed my hair and let it air dry. I used IGK's Antisocial to slightly dampen my hair as I sectioned it off and wrapped it tightly around each of the 8 "legs" flipping up the ends of the legs around the ends of my hair and securing it with the attached elastic ties. I let the slightly damp sections dry, tucked everything up into my sleeping bonnet and when I woke up and removed the rollers, I had the tightest curls ever that have lasted 3 days now!! No hairspray or mousse needed!! I can try to come back and add photos if the app lets me.

I love this thing! I modified it by cutting off the elastic loops. I take a shower, let my hair airdry a bit so its not so wet, use mousse on small sections of hair, wrap around each "arm" and secure with a mini elastic hair tie. I do this until all hair is gone and its ok to wrap multiple small sections of hair around each "arm" until its all gone. When its dry, make sure its dry or it will likely go flatter than you want, unravel every hair tie and separate your curls, then use a pick to make it look nice and not crazy. Do not brush or it'll be a frizzy mess! Do this and you'll have perfect curls!

The concept makes sense but this product is a waste of money and time. I literally laughed when I opened the box. It looks like something you could buy at a dollar store. I have medium straight hair and it wouldn't stay wrapped around the curlers. The elastics that secure the hair are way too big and heavy so I had to wrap them around twice and it kinked my ends.

Love this. I've been natural for some time and have been working my way through hair products and appliances. I won't put heat on my hair, unless I go get a professional silk press. I tried the curling rods and they left my frizzy. This gave me soft waves.

My hair is very long, fine, and completely stick straight. I have tried many curling methods, but this is by far the best. It consistently makes effortless beautiful curls! The curls last perfectly for days. It is very simple to use and incredibly comfortable to sleep in, unlike many other heatless curl options. It is much easier and more comfortable than flexible rods. So much faster too. It is also much prettier than the single strand wrap around heatless options. Having multiple "tentacles" really makes the hair/curls look beautiful.
