First Brush Shampoo and the Only One I Will Use

I own only E.L.F makeup brushes and have oily combination skin so I need to clean my brushes to reduce acne breakout but I don't want to spend loads of cash on a brush cleaner so I purchased this one over the summer and not only am I still on the first bottle I have barely made a dent in the product...

did they change the formula? very disappointed..

I first tried this brush shampoo YEARS ago, and loved it so much I ended up buying like 4 bottles of the stuff. I finally ran out and re-ordered just a few weeks ago, and I'm almost certain they've changed something about the formula or the ingredients (the packaging is different, which is usually h...

I have been using this product for years, and have had no problems, I like to deep clean all my brushes and sponges to completely get out all the previous foundation and dirt, this is a good buy, maybe it's the cleaning pad you use and not the shampoo.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend

this lasts awhile. like, awhile. i've had it for a few months now, even though my (solid) ulta brush cleaner only lasted like 2. this elf shampoo has been thru thick and thin w/ me 🙏. not really. but, i do use it to clean the theatre makeup off of my brushes, which says, well, enough. do keep in mind that some costume makeup will stain ur brushes no matter how good ur shampoo is. that includes this shampoo. it gets a pass tho, because not even dish soap worked for the stain im referring to. (green! forever.) however, it did seem to be particularly hard to get concealer out. it's important to note I use e.l.f concealer too, and I understand that its texture can make it difficult to clean, but still. the packaging I have isn't the easiest to use; it's a white rectangular prism with one of those flip-and-squeeze tops. it's difficult to get the product flowing, but keep in mind that their packaging has since changed. in any case, I think it's a decent cleaner. but I don't have a huge reference list to go off of. quite affordable tho. tl;dr: solid brush shampoo for a solid price.

If I'm being honest, I don't clean my brushes every week or so, leaving them pretty compact with product. This cleaner gets everything off and leaves my brushes like brand new.

I had high hopes for this product, but I found that it didn't remove as much makeup from my brushes as other brush cleaning products. I won't purchase again.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend to a friend
