Definitely needs reformulating…
I have never left a product review in my life but this one demanded it. This brand truly has some of the absolute best powder blushes on the market–even for how small they are the pigmentation you get with the lightest touch is fabulous. I use them every day so I was stoked about this powder because I discovered it accidentally when the bareminerals translucent one (my go-to) was temporarily not available, and I am generally open to trying new products. The compact itself is big and attractive and it comes with a lovely little poof. I have very oily skin but the first ingredient being glass beads was super intriguing. Unfortunately, when using a brush or the poof especially there's simply no way to avoid getting a chalky white cast on the skin. In fact–the oilier my skin was the worse this powder looked. Also once I put it on, quite literally less than 5 minutes later it seemed like I was even shinier than before I used it. Certainly feels very satiny and NOT matte. This claims to be a blotting powder but from what I could tell this is basically made for people who already have flawless/normal skin and/or just want a photo ready finish. Though I'm an oily type I (30) don't have facial acne anymore like I did in my early 20's, and full disclosure, I do not wear foundation. I bought this with the intention of having something that could keep the oil at bay throughout the day. With multiple applications it ultimately just left me with a grayish buildup, especially on my nose. I'm leaving this review in case there are others like me who typically need to use something to keep their skin matte but don't go as far as wearing liquid or even powder foundations. I'm honestly not sure how this would work when applied on top of a foundation, but IMO it's not very promising. Nabla overall is an excellent brand and I am eager for any of their new product releases. I believe this is the first of this kind that they have made and the ingredients all look great and the texture itself is nice but somehow together they just do not give a mattifying effect. Hopefully they will get more in-depth feedback and improve this formula because they usually exceed expectations.♥️
Formula could be better
Sets into fine lines, only good thing about this is that it includes a puff applicator. Hard to blend and leaves a talc-like finish.
