Step 1: Extend the handle until Back Applicator locks into place.
Step 2: Apply desired amount of Bondi Sands lotion or foam to either side of the back applicator.

Worst customer service.
I purchased this back applicator, the dark tan and a regular mit applicator (spent over 50 dollars).. when I placed my order- my billing and shipping addresses are different but didn't notice that the Bondi Sands payment page would automatically switch my shipping to my billing.. resulting in my ord...

Can't rub tan in evenly
I would not recommend this product. It was great as an idea, but unfortunately not in execution. The spongey side of the applicator is way too thin to accommodate the natural curves and indents of a back (or at least my back), which basically resulted in the plastic edges of the sponge streakily rubbing my self tanner around. If they were able to make the applicator longer and thicker it might work, but since they haven't yet, contorting myself with my mitt gives much better results.
Not jiust for self tanning!
I bought this to use to put regular moisturizing lotion on my back. I live alone and it is hard to get every place on my back. This is perfect!!!
Not as easy to use as I thought
It was a little difficult for me to use. When I finally got the hang of it I still had some difficulty reaching my upper middle back area. Due to the difficulty in working the product it did leave a couple of spots.
I didn't like it
This was too short and kinda hurts to use if you are actually trying to blend the tanner. Wouldn't recommend!
Bad design
Great in theory, just what I was looking for. Unfortunately, if you have a well-defined back, it is too firm to get in all the groove. It needs more of a bend/curvature in order to comfortably reach around the back. It needs a more plush applicator pad. Takes a lot of time to use.
