Disclaimer: I was sent this product in exchange for my honest opinion. The Gucci Parfum Festive set was one I was very excited for. It came in a nice silver box, which unfortunately smudged horribly with fingerprints the second it was touched. The four coffrets were nicely placed in the box to avo...id damage (and were a bit of a pain to remove, but that's okay). If you are someone who would not store these in the box or display the box, this probably won't be something you'd be concerned about. Each bottle contains roughly 5ml of fragrance in an EDP concentration. I generally think the cost for 20ml of fragrance is pretty egregious as far as value goes, but the benefit is that you get to try a variety of scents. The miniatures are super cute and are made of a sturdy glass. This is something that goes for almost any mini coffret, but I absolutely hate shaker bottles. In general I find them to be pretty unwieldy and unsanitary, and if you do apply without touching the bottled perfume itself you almost certainly end up overapplying. Rollerballs aren't much better when it comes to introducing oils and bacteria to the bottle, but as application goes it would still be a step up. We've figured out sprayers for 1ml samples, can we please get a sprayer or even a dropper for mini coffrets too? Rant over. Gucci Bloom is a classic, sweet white floral fragrance that could be categorized as a safe blind buy. It has a straightforward scent, doesn't deviate from the powdery blossoms, and is generally a nice, uncomplicated floral. Flora Gorgeous Gardenia is a surprise for floral-haters, as the brown sugar base and red berries in the opening pull it closer to the fruity gourmand side of floral fragrances. It is a more robust and well rounded scent, and would also be a safe purchase for someone wanting to simply appeal to the masses and smell nice. Flora Gorgeous Orchid was a shocker for me. While it's known that vanilla comes from orchids, I anticipated a more floral scent that never came. With the ozonic accord, it was definitely giving sunscreen vibes in a good way. It evokes sunshine and yellow blooms, and walking through a meadow while loaded in SPF. Guilty is a classic. It's ambery with patchouli and pink pepper and a subtle fruitiness dotted with rosy notes. It is definitely a lot more punchy and despite the marketing I feel it's a more mature fragrance with a scent profile that would be found fifty years ago as much as today. I wouldn't recommend this for a teen's first fragrance, but I'd see this being popular with older millennials and their parents - which isn't a bad thing! Overall, I wouldn't invest in this given the opportunity to do so again. As a gift set, it has its perks, but I find the scents a little too uninteresting and the packaging too annoying to spend as much as it retails. It's nice for someone just getting into fragrances and wanting a cute display of a variety of scents.
