Fresh, Clean & Non-stripping!

This facial cleanser does not foam in the typical sense, but it does provide a rich feel while on the skin. Once rinsed off of the complexion one's skin feels squeaky clean, yet not stripped. This product removes sunscreen and makeup easily. 1 to 2 pumps is all that it takes for a clean, fresh and s...

Accidentally purchased the foaming kind

…and it was too drying for me, as most foaming cleansers are, but i didnt return it since its Cetaphil and jr said it was hydrating. It does leave my skin feeling a little tight, so I don't like this as a dailt cleanser. I'd use it for days I wear makeup or have excess oil, etc.

I use to use a facial cleansing bar. My skin is already drying with age. After using skin cleansing bar, still felt somewhat dry. Cetaphil hydrating was recommended to me and I will continue with this product. My skin is cleansed and still feels soft after a gentle wash with Cetaphil. This product is a staple now in my skin cleaning routine.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend

I normally use the Peach slices snail rescue but I decided to try something different because the Cetaphil was on sale at the time. I'm definitely not bashing Cetaphil because it works for my husband just fine and I see the other reviews where people love it but for me personally it broke me out really bad. I have clear (combination) skin other than the occasional breakout due to hormones and black heads due to big pores but breaking out as bad as I did using Cetaphil threw me off. My chin dried out pretty bad to the point my moisturizer (Peach slices) didn't help, my cheeks and forehead were really oily as well. It got to the point where a new zit was popping up everyday, not only on my face but my neck as well which is unusual for me. I only used Cetaphil for a couple of weeks before I threw in the towel and went back to get my usual Peach slices snail rescue face wash and the toner to try and get my face under control. After using my usual stuff for my usual routine, including pimple patches, after a day my face is back to normal. That old saying "if it ain't broke, dont fix it" applies here and i'll be sticking to my usual routine.

I use this cleanser after oil cleansing at night and by itself in the morning. Residue free but doesnt dry out my skin and its really gentle around the eyes. I also used the Cerave one but did not like it much, This one is better.
