Breathtaking tenderness.

Irrisistible is a fragrance from Givenchy that I have fallen in love with in the past, so you could imagine how excited I was to receive this complimentary sample of the new iteration "Rose Velvet." My generous sample came to me in the form of this perfume sample card, complete with a monochromatic ...dusky rose colored theming. The bottle is clear glass with a rose gold gap. Within, the pale rose blush hued liquid invites you to delve into the tenderness and feminine poise that awaits. Spraying this onto my inner wrists was like love at first sight. The olfactory notes danced across my senses, and yet were so incredibly simple. Actually, I think it's the simplicity of this fragrance that makes it so attractive. So many perfumes out there claim to be centered around the rose, yet the actual tenderness of the rose petal scent drowns in the unnecessary avalanche of additional complimentary notes. In contrast, what I smell when I smell this fragrance is the pure innocence of a velvety rose petal, freshly plucked and preserved from a budding, youthful bloom. This is a transformative fragrance that embodies the strength of an expanding rose. Honestly, I wish I hadn't sprayed my entire sample on in one sitting, because the first thing I want to do tomorrow morning is donn this incredible scent. At the top we have the delicious notes of voluptuous blackcurrant and powdery Iris which lead into the softest, most velvety pink bed of Turkish rose blooms. At the base, adding a bit of a rose wine fermented quality to this fragrance is Indonesian Patchouli wrapped in the warmth of Tender Wood. While this fragrance may smell soft, it is strong in female empowerment and supports a vision of prevailing feminine beauty. This is a fragrance you will spray on your skin and want to smell again and again throughout the day. Breathtaking tenderness packaged into a gorgeous fragrance soon to be a staple in every vanity.
