I was excited to try this product, as I am 64 and worry about "old lady lips." Am I the only one whose lips get dry and chapped from using it? I have re-tried it several times, just to be sure it was not something else causing the dryness, but it definitely seems to be the product. I can't figure it...

[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] The Clarins Lip Perfector is a sheer gloss that is said to plump and hydrate the lips while providing a "hint of shimmer". It has a cushion applicator which I like. I was sent the Rosewood Shimmer. I just love the color and the smell is amazing! It does provide a nice shine and the slightest amount of shimmer. I tend to think of something a little more glittery when I think of shimmer, but for me it was perfect. As for plumping, I personally didn't notice much of a plumping effect. There definitely isn't a tingle that I've experienced with other lip products that are meant to plump. In my opinion, applying a thin layer works best because it can go on a little thick. I would recommend to someone looking for a hint of color. I imagine that it would look so great with a number of lip pencils!
