Hi! I've been using the "light" version of this product for several months now. I really like it and I love the smell. I'm almost out of it; and I was just wondering what the difference is between the two products. I have thick, wavy, color treated hair that is just above my mid back in length with long layers. I use this after flat ironing to give additional smoothness and shine. It also helps to maintain my straight style and prevent frizz. I was just wondering if the regular version might be an even better fit for my hair type. Also, do both products have the same scent? Thank you!
- Asked by Liz
- Official Answer By Wella Professionals - Sampling + BEThe luminous smoothing oil gives instant luminosity, without weighing the hair down. It contains camellia seed oil. Light Reflective oil is a versatile perfecting oil for hair smoothness and glossy effect. Good for all hair types. Contains macadamia and avocado oils. The scent may vary between the two due to ingredients. Was this answer helpful to you

pleasantly surprised!
Ok I won't lie, I bought this product because I read that Meghan Markle uses it..and let's be real her hair is shiny and perfect. I honestly thought I'd hate it thought because hair oils tend to be too much for my hair. My hair is thick and somewhat coarse due to coloring...however at the same time ...

Did not like
I didn't care for this hair oil at all. It did add shine, but it otherwise didn't do anything for my hair. It didn't smooth, it didn't protect from heat, it didn't add moisture or hydration. I have a ton of hair oils, all of which do much more for my hair AND add shine, that I would not get this or ...

Lightweight and doesn't make my hair oily!
Hair Type Straight Hair
This oil really helped to control any flyways and the static in my hair that I get during these colder months! Sometimes I get dry ends and it looks a bit brittle and this left my hair so shiny and soft, all while not making it oily as other oils tend look so oily! Love this stuff!
It does it's job
Hair Type Wavy Hair
I have highlights for the very first time in my life and my hair ends were completely dry. My friend suggested it and I have been using it daily. Before hitting the gym to protect the hair from sweat, after the gym when I wash the hair and before use the blow dryer etc… the smell is great and the hair does not get heavy. I am still using my first bottle but I think I will continue using it.
Smells good but typical smoothing oil...heavy & greasy
Hair Type Very Curly Hair
I use many Wella products and very pleased with them but not this one. I used it many ways but it didn't matter for me very heavy and made my hair feel so greasy couldn't wait to wash it out. It had a nice fragrance but that is all and expensive.
Holy Grail Hair Oil
I consistently go back to this hair oil, no other oil measures up. I base a good hair oil off this one and some have come close but none can top it! It is pricey but it goes on sale from time to time. Cant recommend more!
This is my 3rd purchase of Wella Oil Reflections

I use this after blowing my hair. I have natural curly hair and it shows the shine on the curls.
