- Q
Does this product darken age spots/freckles?
- Asked by Spot
- Official Answer By COOLA - Brand EngageWe cannot guarantee that this product will not darken age spots. The good news is that it will treat everything at the same rate, so although our sunless tanning may not hide age spots, it won't highlight them either! Was this answer helpful to you
- Q
Can this be applied to your face without causing irritation or breakouts?
- Asked by Kim
- Official Answer By COOLA - Brand EngageWe always recommend doing a patch test before applying all over, especially if you have sensitive skin. Was this answer helpful to you

How do I avoid it looking splotchy on my hands and feet? It goes on so smooth and even everywhere else.
- Asked by Sarah
- Official Answer By DO NOT USEWe definitely suggest washing the palms and bottoms of feet once applied, to help diminish any tan that may develop there after application. For the tops of feet and hands we suggest using your favorite moisturizer immediately after applying the tan product of your choice - this greatly helps with fading away any blotchiness that may develop after application on those areas. Our favorite moisturizer to use in tandem with the Sunless Tan Firming Lotion is our ER+ After-Sun lotion, which is rich and hydrating and helps with evening out tan blotches in those areas. I'm very fair, and never get that "summer glow" so my question is, if I were to use this, is it safe to apply sunscreen after waiting the 6 hours after applying? Or would that cause it to look streaky?
- Asked by meg
- Official Answer By DO NOT USEYou can apply sunscreen or other topical products to the skin after the recommended 6 hours has lapsed; as long as the product has dried down you will be able to apply product on top without it streaking or looking patchy. Was this answer helpful to you

Great natural even color, easy to use
I was pleasantly surprised by this product as I usually use Minetan Violet (mousse), but I wanted to try this based on the reviews and skin benefits. The day before I did my usual thorough exfoliation. Right before applying, I applied CeraVe to toes, insteps, heels, ankles, knees. Then I put on glov...

Needs a tint guide!
TL;DR - this is ok, but I don't think its much better than something else you could pick up at a drugstore for much cheaper. If you're gunna buy a premium brand, there are others out there I would pick. I'm a self-tanner junkie. Naturally very pale and burn easily so I've tried more products than I ...

Used to be my holy grail, but they changed the formula
I used to buy this self-tanner every month, despite the high price tag. Unfortunately, they changed the formula and now it's awful. The consistency is runnier, the color is more orange and darker, and now it's streaky. Will never purchase it again.
Hint of Orange

I'll start by saying I use the sunless tan face serum and it's great. Gives me the perfect glow. I thought the same would hold true for this. What's good is that it dries really quickly and doesn't smell. It says it smells like coconut, but it's pretty odorless. I am a bit disappointed though in that I see a hint of orange. It's not pumpkin orange, but it leans orange over brown. Not sure if it's my complexion, but I'm half Italian, so I'm not super pale.

Tan looks natural
Dreadful

I spent a while looking for a more natural sunless tanner. I used to use a foaming one two decades ago, in my early twenties. Dried quickly, gave a nice colour but god knows what was in there. Didn't use any for the best part of 20 years since but thought I would again as I've become more aware of sun damage. I was very careful to exfoliate thoroughly. No issues with patches or streaking. Where I really hate this is: 1. It's super sticky after use. I didn't put that much on but had to wait AGES before getting in my pjs. I like to sleep during tanning and then shower in the morning. 2. The smell of DHA was so strong, I could actually smell it in my sleep. You'd think a « gradual » tanning product would be less concentrated in DHA but clearly not. And yet, 3. I woke up to a little tan with a horrid orange tone. It really looks awful. My skin is usually fairly pale as I live in northern climes but with a yellow undertone. If I get in the sun without sunscreen, I'll go a bit red then tan. With sunscreen, I just go a nice caramel colour after a few days. I've now put a second coat on, as the first was so dismall and I am even more orange than before. The smell of DHA is so strong, it reminds me of the stuff from the late 90s. I cannot fathom how anyone would call this a good product that gives a nice colour. What a dreadful product.
