Good not great
I really only need one clip to hold my hair up while blow drying in sections (medium thickness) which is nice, and so they are definitely strong. Hair Type Straight Hair
I purchased these to be used when I am straightening my hair with flat iron. The clip is strong and holds my thick hair well.
Ugly and Flimsy
I bought both these and a different brand from Ulta. There seems to be no reason to buy these over the others as they're not any gentler unless by "gentler" they mean flimsy and lacking hold. Maybe it's good for fluffy curly hair, but these suck for my thick straight long/heavy Asian hair. And I absolutely hate the tacky childish pink color the more I look at them.
Not durable
Got these as a free gift with purchase. Used 3 times and broke. I'd say they're not worth purchasing if they're not going to last. (I only gently used them to hold hair back while cleansing face - for the record) Disappointing
Good on Thick and Curly Hair
I use these once to three times per week and have for years without ever replacing them. They work well for keeping my hair out of my face while air drying my hair, and I also use them to hold my hair back while doing skincare and makeup on my makeup wearing days. These do crack if you're not careful. The logo will fade off. I just purchased a new set that I'm going to try that isn't this brand, so we will see if they don't snag my locks like these ones don't seem to. These also don't seem to leave the annoying indent when taking them out of my hair, but I have very curly hair so someone with straight hair might be the person to ask about that. If I can't find a replacement I would repurchase. I think these have to be the most comfortable clips I have tried which I've tried hundreds in my 30 something years. If you're wanting to try especially with the current Cyber Week sales I'd say get them before they're gone.

these clips snag and pull on your hair and if you have a sensitive scalp like me you'll be in a world of pain. would not recommend.
