This powder really surprised me in how nice it looks on clean, bare skin. I tried this in the Translucent color on my freshly washed face with no other skincare or makeup. I know it is a bit pricey, and there are a lot of dupes out there, but this is my second one. I really like this powder and the fact that it is talc-free and not loose. Not a big fan of the loose powders. This one is perfection.

The Laura Mercier finishing powder easily became a favorite product. It has such a beautiful airbrushed finish that its absolutely stunning!
Ehhhhhhhhh.....not overly impressed?!?!
This powder is "just alright" in my opinion. I've always used the Translucent Loose Setting Powder and I LOVE that! I am almost 55 years old, so trying to find something that doesn't set in my wrinkles and make my face look dry and old.--this powder just wasn't it for me. I think it's a good powder, just not for older, mature skin.
Attention: pale people
Let me just say, I am extremely pale. So pale that to this day, I can only use tinted moisturizer as foundation - because I can't find a foundation pale enough for my face. That being said, this also means that matte pressed powders don't look good on me. While there are pale enough powders, the matte look on a very pale person just makes you look like a corpse in a morgue. THIS STUFF however, is a great topper to complete my makeup look. I need that glow to not look dead. You can see here that I am in fact very much alive, and all of the color hasn't been drained from my face! The only con is I haven't figured out how to properly set my under eyes with it, but I am going to work on it. What's pictured on my face: smashbox halo tinted moisturizer, morphe hide + peek concealer, LM luminous powder, and colourpop no filter setting mist.
