The Retinol 0.1 Cream with Super Vitamin E + Pathenol from COSRX is an irritation-reduced solution created with the optimal ratio of key ingredients for first-time retinol users just starting to notice the appearance of fine lines caused by dry skin.

START SMALL AND SLOW! After using essence or serum, pat a small amount using your ring finger. Apply evenly over the face, neck, and onto parts with wrinkle concerns. Limit initial use to three times per week; gradually increase frequency to every other night, use as tolerated. Have an 'adaption period' when using retinol.
WEEK 1-2: Frequency: use every other day at night
How to Use : After cleansing, at the moisturizer step, apply a small amount to areas of concern. e.g. under eyes, mouth, forehead and neck. Recommended amount : 0.1ml per section / 1 grain of rice
WEEK 3: Frequency: may apply everyday at night.
How to use : After cleansing, at the moisturizer step, may spread over the entire face.
The "building tolerance" phase can be shortened or extended depending on individual differences. Maintain this phase until no discomfort is experienced. Gradually increase frequency and areas of application.
Precautions: Retinol is a high potency product, this item should be incorporated into an existing routine slowly.

Do you apply your moisturizer before or after you put on the Retinol?

If the product in question is lighter than the retinol cream, use it first. If it is heavier than the retinol cream, use it afterward. However, due to the nature of retinol, it may cause irritation. If you experience irritation, it is recommended to use a non-irritating moisturizer/cream first, followed by the retinol product.Was this answer helpful to you

Overall a good product although I'll keep trying others. Pricewise I think it's a little much for the amt of retinol in the product. There are other creams on the market that are well formulated with the same amt of retinol at better prices. However, I still think this is a good product. I've had 0 irritation and can apply liberally for moisture as well as treatment. I've been keeping it in the fridge as instructed - less convenient but kind of nice.
