I have permed hair. Will Tea Tree thickening conditioner and shampoo make my perm go away sooner than normal shampoo and conditioner for curly hair or permed hair?

Q
I got my hair colored, multi colors including a red/purple shade. I immediately started using this shampoo and matching conditioner. Within 4 washes over 2 weeks, the red color was all stripped from my hair. So i don't find this to be safe for red colors. But it says its color safe?

Does this help with dandruff and itchy scalp the same way the regular tea tree does?
Asked by taty

Q
Will this product affect the color of dyed hair? It's not mentioned for use with colored hair, and I'm afraid it will lighten the color of my hair with regular use.

Really works!

Bought this conditioner for my husband who used for a week, but did not see his thinning hair change much in thickness so he stopped using. Due to fine, but lots of hair, I never use conditioner as they all leave my hair weighed down and limp. However, as I went to throw conditioner out I decided t...

Had To Return It...

I had to return this product because when I applied it, it made my hair feel completely stripped to the max. It took every bit of moisture out of my hair, leaving me with a tangled mess. I had to use a different conditioner, just to get a wet brush through my hair. A cosmetician told me that an...

Ouch, my scalp!

Submitted 5 days ago

By Alisha

From Ipswich, MA

Hair Type Wavy Hair

This conditioner stripped my hair so badly that it caused little cuts on my scalp. It was expensive so I've been using it and then putting oil in my hair when it's wet to brush it. Probably gonna have to toss it before I finish it unfortunately.

Horrible Scent Change!

Submitted 4 months ago

By Nancy

From Highland, CA

Hair Type Very Curly Hair

I received my conditioner and on first use realized that they've changed the scent. The smell is so perfume that is makes me nauseous and my sinuses stuffy. It also messes with my asthma. I have allergies and chemical sensitivities. Sad

I love how it makes my hair feel, but the scent has changed since they switched to the new bottles. It's not as "natural" smelling as before in the green bottles.

New look BUT Glycerin is added!

Submitted 7 months ago

By TheBrat

From Meriden, CT

This was the only Paul Mitchell Conditioner I could use because of my allergies to Glycerin, Propylene Glycol, Polyethylene Glycol, Sorbitol, etc (all sweeteners that are also used for "binding" purposes). So I just ordered & received (which also leaked over the rest of my order) this bottle with the new look only to find out at the very bottom of the list of ingredients that they added Glycerin (still have old ingredients listed with a disclaimer that all ingredients may not be included, see packaging - why nobody includes picture of the ingredients on the actual bottle is beyond me)! Huge, major disappointment! Now I can't use this conditioner ever again. Why did they have to add Glycerin?! It worked fine without it before so why the change? That's my question of which I'll never know the reason why. So if you've got allergies like me to sweeteners like Glycerin, stay away from the new looking bottle. It's so hard to find anything to put on or in my body that doesn't have these ingredients that trigger horrific migraines within minutes (yup, I'm one of those that get migraines 25-28 days a month). What a total and complete bummer Paul Mitchell!

Does Not Do Any Good but BAD to My Hairs

Submitted 1 year ago

By April

From San Jose, CA

Hair Type Straight Hair

I gave a star to the nice wrapping and another star to the DoorDash same day delivery. Other than that, this product left me with everything bad after just one use. I have healthy fine hairs and always want some volume. When my favorite brand Love, Beauty & Planet Sulfate free volume and bounty was out of stock, I gave this product a try and immediately regretted. All of sudden, I had very dry, very brittle, static, frizz, kind of sticky, straw like hairs that I was afraid to run my fingers through because I could probably break it if I do so. Yah, it was that bad. So just because it works for many others doesn't mean it works for you too. Returned it the next day unfortunately.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend to a friend
