Spray into dry hair for volume and a firm, all day hold. Pick up hair and spray at the root for extra volume.
Precautions: Flammable Aerosol. Pressurized Container: May burst if heated, highly flammable liquid and vapors. Causes eye irritation. Does this hairspray create a "helmet-looking" hold? I have very fine thin hair and I have to use what seems like an exorbitant amount of hairspray to hold my styled lift and volume. Mind you, this is after root lift products and mousse. If there's even a slight amount of humidity, yeah, I lose my lift/volume/hold within minutes, and that's just walking from my car into a building. And if there's higher humidity, yeah, I'm all gummy-head. As you can read here, I need help. Oh, and my hair is layered and shoulder length.

Both will work for oily, straight hair, but if you are looking for the dryer version of the two (less product feel), Big Sexy Hair Spray and Play will be the way to go. Both Spray and Play and Spray and Play Harder will give you the same amount of volume, but again Spray and Play Harder will have a stronger hold for longer lasting volume. Love this Hair Spray
I have baby fine, oily hair with absolutely no body and this product works amazing on it. First, I use it on my wet (short) hair to help style it and give it extra boost and body. I have deepest darkest red violet hair and have used this product for years simply because it did not leave any film on my hair. However the last 2 bottles Ive purchased have left a white netting film on my hair and I am unimpressed.

I've been a Big Sexy Spray and Play user for countless years and have always loved this product. In the last year or so, the product has changed and is no longer great. The smell used to be amazing. Now it smells like industrial cleaner. The hairspray used to have an amazing hold. Now, the product barely holds for a few hours and it just disappears. The bottles used to be flawless but with this new formula, you'll end up returning 90% of your bottles after barely one use because the sprayer just stops. The bottle is full and no matter how much you shake it or run it under hot water, nothing will come out. This is a pretty pricey hair spray to not be able to use more than 8 seconds. I have contacted the company and they don't care. They claim nothing has changed when it very obviously has. Be Warned. Sadly, another great product down the toilet.
