Sneaky reformulation

I loved and used the old Purifying balm for years, and I hadn't seen anything about a reformulation, but my last order ended up being the new version (which is now "Calming"). I didn't realize it because the packaging barely changed, but the new one smells like Vicks Vaporub and made my skin and eye...

Favorite Makeup Removing Balm

Submitted 17 days ago

From Virginia

I use this as my first step in a double cleanse, and it removes my makeup, doesn't strip my skin, and doesn't irritate my sensitive, breakout prone skin. I've been using this balm for a good two years now, and I highly recommend for anybody who finds the scent and oils in other balms to be irritating.

I love the orginal formula and wanted to use this one and try it since it was one sale. I patch tested on my arm for 48 hours before I tested it on my face with no issues, then used it on my face just the cheek then my eyes for 10 days. My eyes got so itchy I couldn't open them it was not worth it. I had to return it and get the original one which was the pink jar.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend to a friend

Check expiration date!!

I've repurchased this product several times and was excited to see that it was on sale a few months ago. I purchased on September 29 and just got around to opening the product on December 14 only to find that the expiration date on the bottom of the package reads November 7, 2024. I realized that something was off because the balm is white (old formula) and with the past few containers of this exact product that I've used, the balm was blue (new formula). It appears as though Ulta tried to clear out quickly expiring stock by placing it on sale.

I don't wear makeup but have rosacea and find it a challenge to find a good facial cleanser that doesn't dry out my skin or irritate it and this is perfect.

I wanted to absolutely love this product so bad but it stunged my face horribly, it burned my skin barrier when i used it. 😭 It worked on many other people's skin, but not mine. (I have sensitive skin/oily.)
