- Q
Can you mix the colors? To achieve an auburn color can you mix brown with red?
- Asked by Deena
- Official Answer By Hally Hair - Brand EngageYes, it is possible to combine colors for a different effect. Just be sure to keep the ratios the same of foaming developer (bigger bottle) and colorant (small bottle). The proportion should be 1.5 part developer : 1 part colorant. For example, if you use half of the Cola Coaster colorant and half of the Code Red colorant, use the full bottle of developer. Was this answer helpful to you
- Q
Will it come out all the way from your hair?
- Asked by Idk
- Official Answer By Hally Hair - Brand EngageDemi-permanent color is designed to gradually fade over 4-6 weeks on healthy hair. Lighter, porous hair may hold onto pigments longer, especially if the product contains intense or darker shades. If hair is damaged, it may be more porous and can absorb color more readily, so the likelihood of longer-term staining is higher. Was this answer helpful to you
- Q
Does this product stain previously bleached hair?
- Asked by Staining Hair
- Official Answer By Hally Hair - Brand EngageDemi-permanent hair color can stain previously bleached hair, depending on several factors. Bleached hair is more porous and can absorb color more readily, so the likelihood of staining is higher than with non-bleached hair. While demi-permanent color is designed to gradually fade over time, lighter, porous hair may hold onto pigments longer, especially if the product contains intense or darker shades. It’s a good idea to do a strand test before full application to see how the color interacts with the specific condition of your bleached hair. Was this answer helpful to you
- Q
Does it work on dark hair?
- Asked by Anna
- Official Answer By Hally Hair - Brand EngageThe color payoff will vary depending on your starting shade and what Color Cloud shade you are using. Typically on very dark hair, most shades will have a very subtle effect (if any), so if you're looking for a more dramatic effect, consider bleaching your hair first with Totally Clean Bleach. Was this answer helpful to you

Saved my hair!
I am so thrilled with how this came out! Long background story: I'm 47 years old with fine 3c curls that had been box dyed dark brown for years to cover stubborn silvers. Now that I have a lot more silver, I decided to grow my natural hair out. I went to the salon for a gray blending but it didn't g...

A Dye that Strips Existing Color
I love having pink hair, and I'm always searching for a shade of pink that I love even more than the last. I saw Hally in Rose Gold, it said it was safe for all hair types, and thought I'd give it a shot. I got my roots lifted after dying my hair vibrant pink with another brand, then thought I'd ...

Tried it twice now
Hair Type Straight Hair
I had previously bleached my hair and used a bright pink that started to fade after a few months. After some research I thought I would try this product on my already bleached hair. The instructions are very vague but it worked and turned my yellowing bleached blonde to a rose gold. Only problem is for the $$ it should last longer. It lasts maybe 2 weeks if you only wash it every 3-4 days. So tried it a second time, bleaching my roots and touching up some strands and again it turned out pretty but only lasted 3 washes. It's good if you only want a temp color for a party or event. Not long lasting. It is nice that is all natural. Def have to buy a good conditioner too!
Super easy and love the color!
Hair Type Straight Hair
I got the color Cola Coaster. I didn't know what to expect but it was super easy to apply myself. I let it sit for about 30 minutes and then I showered as normal. The color is exactly as expected and looks great! I'll have to see how long it lasts but it's a nice way to try a color.

Made my blonde hair nearly black
I used purple avalanche (I typically use Overtone or Keracolor) for pastel purple/pink. Again, I have BLONDE hair. After 10 minutes my hair was a deep purple/nearly black color. The box and shade comparisons are more than misleading. I had to do 3 bleach washes to get the color to budge at all. And I wanted to like this product, truly.
Didn't do anything
Hair Type Straight Hair
I have blonde hair and the rose gold did absolutely nothing. Time and money wasted. I followed directions and left it on a little longer than what was instructed.
The burning hair dye that doesn't work
For this being a "safer" option it burned my scalp. Never had this issue with regular hair bleach. Please read the box its a 35 developer. (Lightening kit) This will fry your hair if you're not careful. I had no issues with the black hair color foam. Minus it being gone after two washes. The red…. 0/10 only colored my roots a pale pink and left a terrible film over my hair. (Blonde base)
