Styling Cream is a hydra-definition blend that provides curls with shape, frizz control, and a no-crunch finish. I'm a wavy hair girly who has embraced the full wavy life 9 months ago (no more straightening), so I've been on a journey to figure out what combo of products work best for my 2C waves on top/3A curls underneath. The DevaCurl Frizz Fighting Volumizing Foam was the first DevaCurl product I have tried, purchased during the 21 Days of Beauty sale. The foam is lighter weight than others I have tried, and at first I was worried that it wouldn't provide the definition I wanted because it didn't feel as thick or sticky. I did use my other normal products (X Mondo cream before and X Mondo gel after) that I already know the performance of, so this foam was the only variable. I used my Bounce Curl brush, diffused, and finished with Olaplex oil to scrunch out the cast. My curls came out super shiny and defined, noticeably more than normal. They have volume and are definitely not limp like other products have left them. Based on the performance of the foam, I am likely going to try other DevaCurl products.
My favorite
I used this for product for years. Then they changed the formula several years ago, and I didn't like it as much because it gave me less volume than before. Switched to PMitchell which I've used for maybe 5 years now. When I noticed recently that my hair was kind of dull/lackluster/flat, I figured it was bc of years of the alcohol-rich mousse, so decided to give Deva Curl another chance. Glad I did. My hair looks healthy again and feels much better. For reference: I have baby fine straight hair. It's not super thin and it's not thick either. I'm always wanting more volume, and this gives me that while leaving my hair soft to the touch.
