I wish i read the reviews before purchasing these. They are very hard to open. I could not open them so i tried to work them a bit to widen the opening enough to get them on. I did that and was able to put them in my hair but it was unable to actually hold my fine hair. Maybe if you have your hair already pulled back with something elae these could serve a decorative purpose. But they wont actually function as a bobby pin.

I was so exicted to find these as I havng been looking for a cute smaller bobbie pin, however these are impossible to open and if attempt to just slide in they don't hold and when trying to take out they pull hair out :(

Not sure why there are bad comments about this -- they are great quality bobby pins. They are tight, which is why it will pull hair out if you pull it without being careful. But they kept my hair up at a wedding from noon to midnight. These clips are so reliable. To the complainers out there, who wants a loose clip?? They are the perfect size too. For those who want it smaller, buy a smaller clip. But for those who need a pretty clip that sparkles and shines, this is it. It holds your hair up well, and makes you picture perfect for every shot. There are pics from the wedding where the sparkle of the clip comes through. I absolutely love it.
