WHY does it smell awful

I've tried Kpak and Defy, but my hair really likes the Moisture Recovery. But it has a strong perfume smell. I hate it while showering. It does make my hair feel soft but I hope that awful smell isn't there after I style and dry and I haven't gone nose blind. I want my hair products to have a very low scent, vanilla, coconut, clove but just a hint. Not old lady perfume that makes me want to rinse it off as soon as possible.

I love this conditioner. It works for my thick wavy hair. It has a nice fragrance to it ! But also does work which is a plusssz . Ive been using this product for over a year now and I learned that buying the bigger bottle works better for me. I use a good amount of my hair since i do have thick hair i love getting it moist while i finish washing up . It also last me longer than the smaller one. It's pricey to get it at once but its worth it. My hair was so damaged and this product has made it way better! Ive spent so much money on different shampoo , conditioner and etc but this one has worked for me and ive stuck with it. I tried the rosemary mint shampoo and my hair started falling in chunks so i came back to Joico who i shouldve never traded it for.
