How to get the best from your curls

The Multi-tasking conditioner is the best product to figure out how much protein your hair needs. If you've never used protein before, start by using this as a rinse-out conditioner. If that works, try as a deep conditioner, and finally as a leave-in. The more damaged or porous your hair is the more steps you can cover with this product in the same wash day!

Surprisingly good, my 3A hair loves it

Very effective on my 3A curly, medium density and porosity hair (tested during humid winter weather). After using drugstore curls products for years, I decided to try the Curlsmith after seeing it on YouTube. I've been using it for about two months now, mainly as a conditioner and sometimes as a dee...

Not impressed

I have 2B-2C hair recently colored with henna. I was looking for something to replace my tried and true Kevin Murphy products, which I recently found out contain silicone and aren't the best for henna colored hair. While this conditioner does smell nice, I found it to be very thin and runny. It took...

Perfect for my hair type!

Hair Type Wavy Hair

This product has been fantastic for my hair! Also confirmed that my hair is higher porosity due to how well it responds to it. I have 2A wavy, medium coarseness, higher porosity hair (mixed Caucasian/asian). I have always struggled with dry and frizzy hair, but felt sometimes that my hair got weighed down easily. Well, enter this conditioner. This makes it so I don't have to add any leave-ins or oil, and can just use mousse. My hair has become more shiny and I'm assuming it has helped seal moisture into my hair - it feels like moisture is actually penetrating into my hair and staying there. The protein has also helped give my hair more structure so my loose wave pattern has gotten stronger. I absolutely love it! Definitely not for all hair types but if you're struggling with similar issues to the ones I listed, give it a shot. It might just be exactly what your hair needs.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend

"Multi-tasking" is a misnomer

This worked in one specific way for me and that was to COAT the hair and "tame" it a bit, thats it. It is not moisturizing, hydrating, repairing or anything else a conditioner should do, it does not give "slip" or detangle. This may work in many different ways for different people/types of hair but I doubt it would work in mutiple ways ways for everyone. They probably should have left it as a styling cream and thats it.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend to a friend

I use a lot of Curlsmith products and they really are fabulous!!! I have long blond curly hair but it's on the dry side and can get frizzy. These products really help control the frizz and adds the moisture I need, just make my curls look so much better!! Really can't go wrong with any of there products!!!

Know your hair type and what it needs

4 out of 5 members of my family have wavy or curly hair and varying hair porosity. If you dont know your porosity, find out before you buy anothet product!! For my high porosity hair (its wavy, fine and thin), this product is just what i need. It moisturizes and helps the cuticle close up to trap the moisture ans make my hair softer and less frizzy. My elder daughter is a master with her 3a fine, but THICK medium porosity hair. Medium, but more low porosity than high. She will use the curlsmith bond salve and it makes her strands lovely, but only as long as she doesnt use it too often of leave it on for too long. If she hasnt used thr salve for a while then she can use this conditioner as a rinse out and her hair responds much like mine, but if shes using too many other protein products the effect isnt as lovely. Fyi- too much protein will make low porosity hair dry ans brittle as it makes it harder for the moisture to get in! So…this is a fabulous product, but only if you are knowledgeable and use it right (or you just luck out)
