I wanted to like this so badly
This was the first product I ever tried from Curlsmith. First, this product heavily depends on what your curls can handle. I am assuming it is heavily oil-based, and my hair gets oily super quickly. I had to wash my hair every day while using this. I did see some comments about how it doesn't lather...

Just no.
It smells absolutely phenomenal but it dried our my scalp SO bad. It was the to the point i could pat my hair and see skin flaking off. I would pick at my scalp so much it was bleed. I dont have the curliest hair anymore because its so damaged and i thought this may help but absolutely not. Did nothing for me.
Love this shampoo
I find this a fairly gentle shampoo. It works great as a good cleanser and gets all the curly hair products off without stripping. I love how clean my scalp and hair is after using it. The hair does get matted after rinsing the shampoo out so definitely need to use a good moisturizing conditioner afterwards. The bit of protein in the formula is a bonus and makes my hair slightly softer. Overall a winner for me from CurlSmith.

Horrible shampoo (if it can even be called shampoo)
This product does not clean your hair at all. I have to wash my hair 3 times with this product to even have some semblance of washed hair. My hair will get greasy by the next 1-2 days with this product, even if i dont use gels + curl creams after the shower. After 5 uses I could not take it anymore and cleaned my hair with a sulfate shampoo to remove buildup. Product is a waste of money. My hair is normally very dry and I typically go 5 days between washes. My hair type is 3a, very course and thick.
