Q
Is this a warming exfoliating scrub? I've been searching for one Avon used to have one, but they no longer offer it. This sounds like it could be a warming scrub, im hoping it is. Thank you.
Asked by Jackie
Official Answer By Dermalogica US - Brand Engage
Hello, thank you for contacting Dermalogica. Yes, Multivitamin Thermafoliant heats upon contact with water. This warming effect is due to its unique formulation, which includes ingredients like magnesium oxide and thermal technology agents. These components activate when combined with water, creating a gentle heat that enhances the exfoliation process by opening pores and increasing the effectiveness of the product. Q
Hi, can this be used in intimate areas? Can this be used to treat ingrown hairs?
Asked by Jusme
Official Answer By Dermalogica US - Brand Engage
Hello, thank you for contacting Dermalogica. We do not recommend the use MultiVitamin Thermafoliant in intimate areas. This product contains retinol, salicylic acid, and physical exfoliants that can irritate or damage the thin skin in these areas, potentially leading to redness, peeling, or discomfort. The private areas have a specific pH balance to maintain healthy microbiota. Exfoliants and active ingredients can disrupt this balance, increasing the risk of irritation, dryness, or infections like yeast infections or bacterial vaginosis. Q
Can this be used if I use a retinol cream every other night?
Asked by SLR
Official Answer By Dermalogica US - Brand Engage
Hello, thank you for contacting Dermalogica. Yes, you can generally use Multivitamin Thermafoliant on days when you are not using retinol, as long as your skin can tolerate it. Both retinol and exfoliants increase photosensitivity, so daily use of a broad-spectrum SPF 30+ sunscreen is non-negotiable. If your skin is new to either retinol or exfoliation, introduce them slowly to avoid overwhelming your skin. Best Wishes, The Dermalogica TeamWas this answer helpful to you
Q
What are the micro granules made from?
Asked by Sam
Official Answer By Dermalogica US - Brand Engage
Hello, thank you for contacting Dermalogica! Multi-Vitamin Thermafoliant contains Polylactic Acid and Sodium Bicarbonate: A fine mineral powder blend that polishes away dead skin cells to help minimize fine lines and improve the overall texture of skin. Removes excess cells that impede penetration of active ingredients. Including a unique thermal technology, activates upon contact with water to stimulate skin-sloughing. Lactic Acid, Salicylic Acid and Retinol as antioxidants help condition and even skin tone. Best Wishes, The Dermalogica TeamWas this answer helpful to you
Q
Is this good for oily skin?
Asked by Regal Rose
Official Answer By Dermalogica US - Brand Engage
Thanks for contacting Dermalogica. Although this may be suitable for most skin types, the slight natural oil formulation can be inappropriate for certain oily or acneic skin types. You may be best suited using something like Daily Microfoliant, Daily SuperFoliant, or Rapid Reveal Peel. Best Wishes, Dermalogica Team. Was this answer helpful to you

A genuine, visible difference - AMAZING product

I am so thankful that my Dermalogica therapist recommended I switch from Daily Microfoliant to the Thermafoliant. I've always believed in exfoliating but wasn't always regular with it as I never really saw that much difference. I started using Thermafoliant a couple of months ago and was immediately...

Warming

I wanted the Multivitamin Power Recovery Masque; but after asking in the store and talking to 2 different people (which took them about 1/2 hr. to "check,") was told to order this Multivitamin Thermafoliant instead as they no longer HAVE the other masque. I realized once I got home and checked on-l...

Absolutely loving this product so far. I've had neck acne for a while and I've been using this 2-3 times a week for a few weeks now and I can finally feel my acne becoming less noticeable.

My favorite exfoliator

This is the perfect amount of gritty and smooth. It works so well but doesn't leave your face feeling scratched up or raw. The warming is really nice, too! It's a bit pricey but you only use a tiny amount each time so it seems to last a long time! Highly recommend!

I absolutely love this stuff! I was skeptical about the warming technology but i love how it feels when activated. Immediately after exfoliating and rinsing, I can feel a noticeable difference in the texture and feel of my skin. Leaves your face, neck, and décolleté feeling as smooth as a baby's butt!

Warm exfoliation

I love most Dermalogica products, and this is one more to add to my routine. It's more abrasive than the powders and I like the warming sensation. Very hard to squeeze out of the bottle the first time.

I have normal skin and I find most scrubs leave my face raw or too oily. Not this scrub! This is a great scrub that leaves my face feeling clean and smooth with a bit of an afterglow. This is my new staple to my skincare routine.
