Works great on short straight hair!

I have fine straight hair that is naturally stick straight without any product. I originally bought this with the intention of creating texture while air drying my long, mid-back-length hair. However, it didn't seem to either provide volume or texture which was disappointing. However, after I cut my...

For Some, But Not All Hair

I always like to switch to a mousse come summer, and in the South humidity is your nemesis. I thought I'd give this a try since I've used the volume mousse from Kristin Ess (I love the smell and the vegan ethics behind the brand!) and loved that. I wanted to find a mousse that cut down drying time a...

(some basic info about my hair for reference: natural 2a-b waves, mostly fine / medium, medium porosity, not bleached, dyed, or chemically treated. also, stylistically, i prefer to wear my hair less defined and more beachy) i love texturizing sprays, i love mousses, and this was on sale. can i make it any more obvious. after messing around with this for months i can say i really like this product! it's a lot less drying than a typical sea salt spray, which i like. while it does give good results on it's own, i like to pair it with a lightweight curl cream or leave-in conditioner (and occasionally hairspray if i want more hold) and it does wonders. the scent's kinda weird though. it doesn't smell bad by any means, but when i smell it straight out of the bottle, it gets on my nerves a little. it smells like the mathematical average of every bath and body works hand sanitizer. it does die down a lot as you go about your day so that's good.

sits on my hair and doesn't add any volume or hold

I cannot fathom why this product gets any good reviews. I have tried the mouse air drying and using a blow dryer, and it simply sits and weighs down my hair. If you apply too much it seems to take hours to dry and sits sort of sticky even after drying. It provides no volume, texture, or hold; I have never encountered a more useless product.

I have thin wavy hair and this product really works well. It holds my waves well and the cast is not sticky and doesn't weigh down my hair.
