Straightening from wet:
• Start with towel-dried hair and select Wet mode. Select maximum airflow and high temperature.
• Lock arms and rough dry the roots.
• Once roots are dry, unlock arms and select desired airflow and temperature. Straighten and style damp hair in sections.
Straightening from dry:
• Select Dry mode to touch-up or refresh your style. Select desired airflow and temperature, Boost mode is available if required.
• Straighten hair in sections.

Not for thick hair
I had high hopes for this. Especially considering the cost of it. I eas extremely disappointed. Its really heavy and impractical for soemone with thick textired hair. Took me 45 minutes to get my hair semi straight with it. Ill stick to my hot tools

Dyson Airstrait Straightner could be a game changer for many. I did quite a bit of research before purchasing the Airstrait Straightner. I'm 72 years old with thick white, straight hair. My hair has a tendency to turn yellow in spots. I use a heat protector before using the Chi straightener, and use purple shampoo once in awhile. But I still turn yellow. In reading about the Dyson Airstrait Straightner, I am hoping since it doesn't have the direct heat, it will help with the yellow situation. I have used the Dyson Airstrait Straightner 3 times so far. There is definitely a learning curve. I love how my hair feels.
Great tool
Hair Type Wavy Hair
I purchased this product because I have been dealing with excessive hair loss due to medical symptoms. I purchased this to replace my tools round brush and shark flex style which both pulls hair through the tension. I have wavy hair and it does a great job drying. I wil usually use it on damp hair, after letting it air dry for a bit after the shower. It takes me 5-10 minutes. Sometimes I'll use it on dry hair and it is even faster! I only use it twice a week, if that, for the past year and I haven't noticed any form of damage. I do recommend it to others who would like to cut styling time.
Consider the cost…
This works! This takes my thick, porous and medium length hair from wet to stick straight in about 25 mins or less. The style is straight, there is no using this product to create waves. If you are ok with the stick straight look, saving time and dropping a significant amount of money on a one trick pony, this is for you. If you need more from a styler besides straightening and time saving, you might want to consider something else. This fills my need and I appreciate the time savings, but the cost is pretty extreme. I took away one star for the price tag.
