You need a styler or gel over this
I think this is best for type 2 hair. 3 and 4 would need a gel or styler on top. It gives more moisture than definition. I wasn't a big fan.

My hair is probably 4a or 3b. Not sure but I have kinky coily hair and this makes my twistouts come out perfectly.

Great One and Done Product
I have short type 4B/natural hait that tends to be dry and frizzy so it's hard to find products that moisturize my hair and provide hold without gel and mousse. This is that product. I used it on a twistout and it provided crazy definition, moisture, and hold for four days and counting. Would highly recommend.
