Key Ingredients
- 0.1% Tri-Retinoid Comfort Complex - a blend of three types of retinoids (50% retinol, 25% time-released retinal, 25% granactive retinoid) that delivers benefits at different speeds to protect your skin from irritation
- Aloe - provides hydration to prevent excessive dryness and helps soothe skin
- Cica - also known as centella, this is an ultra-soothing herb that's known to calm redness and irritation

Apply a pea size amount of retinol to clean, dry skin, in your PM routine every other night to start. As tolerated by skin, build up to daily usage at night. Follow with your favorite serums & moisturizer. During the daytime, always wear SPF. Avoid using an exfoliant in the same nighttime routine when using retinol.

If your skin can tolerate it well and you experience no redness or irritation, then you can start transitioning to Advanced Retinol Gel 0.5%. Avoid using leave-on acids/exfoliants like glycolic and lactic acid, benzoyl peroxide, physical exfoliants, exfoliating pads, and other topical prescription medications when using retinol. Hi! Only ingredient I see that I'm concerned about is soybean oil, which I've read can clog pores. Does the retinol counteract this?

In fact, there are no standardized tests that can accurately determine if an ingredient will or will not clog your pores or cause breakouts. Skin health is completely individual and dependent on genetics and lifestyle choices, including skincare! Everyone's skin is different but I do hope you'll give our retinol a try for yourself. I'm at the age that I have to start worrying about retinol, so of course I go to my go to brand and try their retinol and OMG it makes my skin feel so smooth and soft. I've always wanted to try retinols but highkey my skin does not do well. I've struggled quite a bit finding a good product and honestly traumatized by how bad of a retinol burn I get. I was extremely nervous trying the beginner retinol gel but super grateful that my skin can actually handle it. It's a good product to get started with retinols and I love seeing the improvements it has done to my acne prone and very textured skin!

I've been consistently using this gel for a little over a month and am seeing marked improvement in my skin texture and evenness of color. I've had pretty severe acne in the past, so I'm always reluctant to try to implement any new/strong products for fear of a reaction. However, I worked my way up to using this nightly and haven't had any adverse effects. I'm using sunscreen religiously now and haven't had any problems with sun exposure. Happy to be able to use retinol at long last and looking forward to easing into stronger retinol at some point in the future.
