Not what I expected
I thought this would be better with removing makeup from my makeup sponges. Very disappointed.
My brushes look new again!
I haven't used this on a sponge yet however, my brushes were all in desperate need of a deep clean and this product did an excellent job. There is a fragrance, but it's not strong. I didn't notice any staining.

I bought this bar years ago when it was at ulta's 21 day sale for 50% off. I regretted because I only bought one. It is definitely the best sponge cleaner I've used so far, it kinda last long too. Surely repurchase it once I used up my current one.
Surprised at how well it cleaned
I have only used liquid cleaners in the past and so I was surprised how well this cleaned. I used it on old and newer brushes and all came out looking great. On the foundation brush I washed and rinsed a few times until the water was clear, but the brush looked brand new when I finished. I'm not sure why it was difficult for some people to use. It seemed straight forward to me. I highly recommend this product.
