Summary
GiGi Charcoal Detox Hard Wax, Non-Strip Formula is a dual-purpose product that was developed primarily for the face to gently remove unwanted hair and unclog pores.
Benefits
- Formulated specifically for facial waxing
- Removes hair and unclogs pores
- Hard wax formula (no waxing strips needed)
- Removes all hair types (fine, medium, coarse, resistant)
- For use with the Mini Honee Warmer 5.0 oz wax warmer
Key Ingredients
- Bamboo Charcoal - Detoxifying
- Willow Bark - Exfoliating
- Zinc Oxide - Soothing
Warmer Set Up:
- Place warmer collar around the can of wax by slipping it on from the bottom and moving it to the top of the can, below the lid.
- Remove plastic lid from wax container.
- With warmer collar on, place wax container into the wax warmer.
- Plug warmer into an outlet and turn the switch on the machine to ''ON'' if applicable.
- Set temperature setting to ''H'' (high setting). For hard wax, wait approximately 35-40 minutes for wax to soften around the sides with a thick, caramel-like consistency. With hard wax there should be an island of unmelted wax in the center of the can with melted wax surrounding it. Optional: Close the warmer cover to keep heat in.
- Once the wax is melted, lower the setting to desired temperature. When wax is not in use, make sure to close the warmer cover.
- Test wax temperature by applying wax with wax applicator on the inside of your wrist before waxing.
IMPORTANT: Do not keep setting on ''H'' (high setting) once wax reaches desired consistency. Be certain to turn the warmer off when you're finished using it.
Ready To Wax:
- Make sure hands are clean and sanitized.
- Cleanse area to be epilated with GiGi Pre Hon cleanser and then pat thoroughly dry with tissue.
- For those extra-sensitive to pain, spray on GiGi Anesthetic Numbing Spray to temporarily numb the skin and let dry. For waxing any part of the face, spray onto cloth, cotton ball, or swab and then apply.
- Apply a small amount of GiGi Pre-Epilation Oil to area to be epilated.
- Holding the applicator at a 45 degree angle, apply a thick layer of wax going against the direction of hair growth then smooth it back over in the opposite direction (if using near the eye area, instruct client to keep eyes closed). Extend the wax slightly past the area to wax to give yourself a pulling tab.
- Press the wax down with your fingertips as it cools until it becomes soft and pliable. Pro Tip: If wax is left on skin too long, it becomes brittle and hard to remove.
- Flick the extended wax pull tab up, hold the skin taut and pull wax off (parallel to the skin) with one quick motion in the opposite direction of hair growth.
- Immediately apply firm pressure to epilated area with the cushion of your fingers or palm of your hand to calm the skin.
- Hard wax can be reapplied up to 2-3 times if necessary.
After Wax Care:
- Apply GiGi Wax Off to remove any wax residue and to condition skin.
- Apply GiGi Post Wax Cooling Gel liberally to skin after waxing to help soothe irritation and redness.
- To maintain waxing results longer, smooth on GiGi Slow Grow, a hair minimizer, every day after showering.
Precautions: Keep out of the reach of children. Use only as directed.

- Q
Will this tin fit in a wax warmer that is meant to hold the larger, standard size wax tin?
- Asked by Sarah
- Official Answer By GiGiHi! This is a five ounce tin of wax that should be warmed in a warmer that is designed specifically to hold it, like the GiGi Mini Honee Warmer. We don’t recommend warming the 5 oz. size can in a warmer created to heat larger cans of wax. Was this answer helpful to you

awesome and simple
i always buy the gigi brand wax and this is my first time trying this charcoal one. I found it gentle, so its good if ur first staring out with hard wax on your own. Also, doing this at home is simple, n you dont need anything other than popsicle sticks or wooden q-tips for smaller more detailed wor...

I'm not sure ...
I'm not sure if I'm using this right. I've tried finding reviews on how to use it. Basically you have the find the right timing not to wet and not to dry before pulling off because if it's too try it will crumble and fall apart before pulling it off the skin.

Terrible. Not only does the wax take hours to melt down completely, you have about a 5 second window to pull before it becomes brittle and breaks off in pieces. It also did not grab the hairs effectively even after proper skin prep. I tried it on my chin also because I get a lot of pore congestion there, it did not clear the pores at all. Very disappointed! Don't waste your money.
becomes brittle in less than 20 seconds

I was shocked at how quickly this product hardens to a point where it is difficult to remove. In less than 20 seconds after putting it on, it must be removed or it is suddenly brittle and hard. By this I mean, the wax is barely placed on. There is about a five-second window of time so act fast. I could only place it on one small area of my face at a time. I've used other hard wax products without this issue. Dissapointing.
The best GiGi hard wax

This applies kinda thick at first but I prefer that so it is easier to grip & rip. It grabbed thick course hairs & fine hairs. I don't think it doesn't anything from pores but I found this easy to use and good for hair removal.
Meh
Not that good. Very small size and it doesn't rip off in one strip. It breaks apart.
The Best
First off, Use the correct wax heater. Wooden stick was used to mix and it was a nice consistency. Nice layer and wait for the perfect soft to hard ratio to rip off ( peel off slowly if it's for your pores with no hair ). If you leave the wax on too long it breaks off so try not to do that... you wanna be able to flick it around and grab like a stiff jelly. It's sticky and may leave grey bits sometimes but easy to clean off. Coconut oil is my go to after wax and a nice shower to clean off gets the job done.
