All Eva NYC shampoos have this issue

Incredibly hydrating to the point where (during the winter) I felt like I didnt need to use the conditioner to prevent frizz. However, its EXTREMELY mild. If you use any sort of film forming/hold products in your hair, or anything remotely heavy, none of the Eva NYC shampoos will give you a deep eno...

Hair Type Wavy Hair

I have fine to medium, low porosity, color-treated, wavy hair. I also have an issue with protein overload occasionally. Yes, this has protein (rice water) but for some reason it doesn't make my hair feel like straw. This shampoo is kinda heavy feeling and doesn't rinse squeaky clean, but my hair needs SO MUCH moisture that it works for me. Once a week I use another shampoo first to get squeaky clean and then use this. Using this shampoo with the conditioner, I can get my fingers or a wide comb through my hair in the shower with ease. The smell is lovely and doesn't linger. Sophisticated (think light musk) and NOT fruity, thank goodness. For this phase of my hair, this shampoo is working beautifully.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend

Too heavy for finer hair

I haven't used any eva nyc products before, so I opted for hydration, but this is unfortunately too heavy for my hair. I have long blonde hair that is on the thinner side. I live in a dry climate, so a little moisture is usually great, but this was just too heavy - it leaves my hair with that feeling like you didn't get all the conditioner out even though I rinsed and rinsed and rinsed. It smells amazing, and I would possibly recommend the team adds some more info as to who this shampoo and conditioner is and isn't for. I am going to try the Take Care shampoo and conditioner now as it sounds like its a bit lighter!

I would choose any drugstore shampoo over this!!! It made my hair feel so gross. I washed it at night and had to rewash it the next morning.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend to a friend
