Shake well. Hold can 8-10" away from style and spray evenly for all-day hold. Reapply throughout the day as needed.
Precautions: Flammable. Contents under pressure. Avoid spraying in eyes. Do not place in hot water or near radiators, stoves or other sources of heat. Do not puncture or incinerate container or store at temperatures over 120F (50C). Do not use in presence of open flame or spark. Avoid fire, flame and smoking during use and until hair is thoroughly dry. Use only as directed. Intentional misuse by deliberately concentrating and inhaling contents can be harmful or fatal. Keep out of reach of children. Spray in a well-ventilated area. If adverse reaction occurs on skin or scalp, discontinue use and consult a physician. in case of accidental contact with eyes - rinse for 15 minutes. Consult a physician if problem persists.

The answers to the Q&A already posted are contradictory. Is the Heat Block Spray for "finishing" AFTER styling OR is is for pre-styling? Do you use this BEFORE using hair dryer (wet hair) and/or hot tools on dry (curling iron/straightener)? Please clarify. I currently use the Platinum Hot Spray but it's very sticky and I find the pump difficult to use with one hand.

Since this product does provide heat protection up to 450°F, it can be used before the use of thermal styling tools such as a curling iron or smoothing iron, or it can be used after thermal styling as a finishing spray to help set and control a style. In comparison to the Platinum Hot Spray 20, the Hot Spray is a non-aerosol product that can be used on both damp or dry hair. The application will be slightly more wet due to the way it is dispensed. Instant headache
