Beautiful color.. in the tube. Absolutely horrendous formula to work with. Actually, you can't work with it, at all. Try as you might with the best brush you have and it will stay put or else become a patchy mess. No blending whatsoever.

The color is beautiful but it just creases too much

I love the matte and shimmer formulas of this brand and own quite a few of the matte ones. However, the duo chromes are not the winners their siblings are. They are prone to creasing and crumbling, and blending out the edges is difficult. Layering is iffy but possible. However, even with these caveats, they do offer stunning color payoff. I would suggest using them as a topper over their black or navy matte liquid eye shadows, although I'm not sure how well they will layer. I prefer them to the Colourpop formulation for color payoff but the Colourpop ones are better for wearability.

This product was a part of my first order and first try of about-face products. It wasn't available in-store to try, so I went in totally blind when ordering this, but to say I was not at all disappointed would be the understatement of the century! This product is BEAUTIFUL! I ordered the shade Total Eclipse, a molten orange/red shade, and the metallic/prismatic effect is absolutely stunning! I'd argue that the color shift is more golden-orange/pink than orange/red, but it's absolutely beautiful nonetheless! The formula is very creamy non-drying which is great fir more sensitive skin, and also non-sticky, which brings me to my singular real con to the product. While this blends out wonderfully using brush or fingertips, it seems to want to stick to anything but your eyelids! This may just be due to me having oily eyelids, so I'll have to try this with a tacky primer base and a good setting spray to see if that will help it stick to my eyes better. Otherwise I am so so SO IN LOVE with this eye paint and I'll definitely be ordering this again when I run out, plus ordering some other shades! The packaging is great, you can see how much product is left inside (albeit slightly distorted through the glass) and the doe-foot applicator is great for adding a spot of product before blending it out, it'll grab and hold more than enough pigment for your needs. I only wish there was more in the bottle, but a little product goes a long way so for the price point this is fantastic!!

Very pigmented and long lasting and comes in very pretty shades, I use cleansing balm/ or oil to remove makeup and have no problems. Looks like pictures also!
