After your regular wash routine, apply all over the hair, from root to tip. For a quick soothing boost, leave on for 10-15 minutes before rinsing. For a deep soothing treatment, leave on for 30 minutes, then rinse.

Hair Like Straw
My hair is 2c and fine but very full. I leave this mask on for the full 30 minutes and it leaves my hair feeing dry and with crunchy ends. I think it actually dries my hair out worse than it would be if I just left it alone.
One of the Best I've Used
This is one of the best deep conditioners/masks I've ever used, if not THE best! The first time I tried this, I couldn't believe how incredibly soft, shiny, and moisturized my hair felt when I rinsed it out! It gave me an amazingly hydrated base for my wash 'n' go! That turned out to be the best wash 'n' go I had ever done. My coils were POPPIN like nobody's business and the hydration & softness was out of this world. My hair absolutely loves this stuff. Since that first jar, I have repurchased this mask 11 times. Yes, I love it that much lol. For reference, I have dry, fine, low porosity, 4a curls/coils. I apply it on damp hair that has only been thoroughly wrung and not towel dried. If my hair is too dry, it won't be as slippery as I like, but I don't want the hair too wet either. I put on a plastic cap, then add heat with my bonnet blow dryer attachment for 20-30 minutes. Heat isn't required, but I prefer doing it that way on MY hair for better absorption. For the type 4 girlies looking for moisture, I HIGHLY recommend this mask. If you try it, I hope you love it as much as I do!
great for my fine, higher density, low porosity 4b 4c hair
OMG THIS MASK! Being a 4b/4c lady, I was always told I need heavier products. However, many natural hair products contain coconut oil or shea butter in the first 5 ingredients or proteins that make my hair too hard, or they dont absorb in my hair, leaving it greasy and dry and weighed down. This product doesnt do that. It hydrates on contact, is easy to rinse out, and leaves my hair feeling smooth and soft, defining my coils for styling. And it works fast, in the amount of time I shower my body. I can just rinse it out after and it's well conditioned. I LOCE that it has no proteibs, so it's perfect for when I dont need strengthening, which is most of the time with my low porosity hair. However, because it is also fine, every once in a while I like to use Melanin Haircare Plumping deep conditioner, which is plenty enough strength for me. This hydrocreme mask is great for regular maintenance.
Doesn't work!
I have curly hair, 2c type, and have been using it once weekly for a couple of months. This hair mask did not make any difference in the softness of my hair. I will have to try something else. What a disappointment and waste of my money.

im a natural 3b 3c curly girl and this mask is amazing! i really feel a difference in my hair once this is rinsed out. it also melts tangles the more water you add to it! my only issue is, is that id love to have it in a bigger bottle. my hair is thick and needs alot of product and the tiny container doesnt help but ill still forever buy this product.
