Olivia Garden NewCycle Vent Styler Brush

This brush is okay. I have one for thin hair that broke and I can't find another one like it in the Olivia Garden collection. This brush isn't anything like my old one. The bristles are too far apart and I need them closer together for a good blow out when drying my hair.

Immediate improvement to make hair smoother due to reduction in static electricity. Comfortable to hold in hand, and design allows for good air flow.

So I received this item with high hopes that it would be magical… but it was anything but that. Originally I was very hesitant to accept this item to review because I know as a curly girl that my hair always gets stuck under the coated bulb on the top of the brush. I don't know why everyone says that this is so good for your hair when hair always gets stuck under the bulb. You would think that by now they would've learned to just create bulbed bristles so that it's one solid piece and if that would be more beneficial than coating the bulb which is the lazy cheap way of doing it. So of course I try detangling my hair in the shower and more than a handful of hair comes out. It was so Bad. Then I tried to blow dry my hair with this considering that their vents in it and that was a disaster. I made a video I'm not sure if they're gonna post it but it just did not look good. A round brush will always do better than a brush like this. So the only thing that I could do to salvage the fact that I have this in my presence is use it as a head massager when my hair is straight. So I use this to brush only on my hair when it's straight and it still pulls hair out but it works best as a scalp massager. That is literally the only good thing I could say about this brush. Hopefully people from their development department are reading this and will decide to start manufacturing bulbed bristles instead of just straight bristles and then you don't have to worry about the coating and hair getting caught on it and that would be an innovation. I received this product for free in exchange for my honest review. I do love the fact the the brush is made from recycled materials and the brush head is vented to make the drying process quicker. I also love the hidden sectioning pick at the bottom! I never would've known! The only down fall is the brush is very hard and not exactly great for tender headed individuals, but other than that I love it!

This brush helped me cut down on styling time so much without there being a ton of my hair left on the bristles afterward. The fact that it's not heavy, has a soft handle, and a sectioning pick are huge bonuses!
