The cut Crunchy & slow , im returning them
In all honesty im not sure if there is a process to shears before using them , all i did was clean them with alcohol & started trimming . I tried cutting at a good pace smaller pieces on the end of my hair (2c/3a). Not a smooth opening or balance to the cut . They feel like overpriced desk scissors ...

Perfect for Trimming!
I got these scissors a few months back, and I've used them about 3x now. I only use them for trimming my dead ends, so I cut about 1"-2" at a time when I use them. Honestly, they're great! They're sharp enough to easily cut through my hair (I have wavy hair and am hispanic) and they've never left my hair feeling split or dead at the ends. I recommend these for anyone looking for a simple pair of scissors to trim their hair, or even for a regular haircut. Just keep in mind that these are NOT giant scissors designed for cutting across large amounts of hair at once. But overall, perfect for what I wanted and very good quality. Also very pretty!

Curly hair cutter
I got the dark blue scissors to trim my ends. Works great. I have 3a curls and these scissors did a fabulous job. Recommend highly.
Fine for straight cuts only
I can straight cut and point cut but when I try to drag the shears down my hair for face framing pieces the serrated blades just rip my hair out. Poor design.
