Good for a proper beach day
If you are looking for everyday scalp protection this isnt the product you want, however for a day of direct sun all day at the beach this worked very well. It absolutely protects! my scalp wasnt so much as browned from 2 straight days of direct sun, and the scent is a bonus because it smells love...

Try a different application method
I've used a similar product (from Clairins, I think). I never sprayed it directly on my scalp. I sprayed on a Q-tip and applied to my part and any other obvious scalp peeking out. Goes a long way using this method too.

It absolutely protects! my scalp wasnt so much as browned from 2 straight days of direct sun, and the scent is a bonus because it smells lovely However a beach weekend i don't particularly care how my hair looks/feels im swimming doing sports etc, this made my hair super sticky and the build up from reapplying was wild, so i would never ever use this product for a casual day out where i will care about how my hair looks. The one thing ill give it is it doesnt leave any white cast or visably look like something is in my hair, it just feels gross and makes the hair sort of clump like its oily.

The product does what it does. You will feel your hair get greasy and oily but it works.
Protected scalp, sticky hair
Overall, I love sunbum products. This spray kept my scalp from burning, but weighed my hair way down and it was sticky, as if I had in too much hairspray.
Wanted to love this product
Made my fine hair extremely greasy and then made my hair super tangled. Smells great and it did protect my scalp from the sun as i didnt get sunburned but made my hair gross. I tried it several times on vacation and just couldn't love it. Will not be repurchasing.
