Starting at the base of the lashes, pull mascara brush through from root to tip. Layer until desired effect is achieved. Removes easily with soap and water.

Not even on par with drugstore brands
Why would anyone pay this much for a mascara that does literally nothing. It doesn't lengthen, thicken or even separate the lashes. Three coats later, the lashes look no better than they did after the first coat. After the first coat, the lashes just looked blacker. Maybe this works for people looking for a little extra color and volume to their lashes. Definitely wouldn't recommend if you like a more dramatic lashes look.
Great mascara that stays put!

This is my favorite mascara of all time. It is the ONLY mascara that doesn't leave black smudges under my eyes. Even "smudge-free" formulas leave marks for me. But not Hour Glass! This mascara does make my lashes stand out more, and it washes off very easily. This is my second tube of it and I intend to continue using it.
Expected better…
For the brand and the price, I expected MUCH better. I have very long but fine eyelashes and I've tried so many different ones, from Dior to Drugstore and this is on par with drugstore. I gave it 2 stars because it is pigmented but it's a clumpy, crumbly, flaky mess that doesn't hold curl. I'll stick with NARS climax if I want pigment. This is going back.

...for a mascara that didn't give me raccoon eyes! I've worn contacts since I was 10, have dry eyes and oily eye-lids. I haven't been happy with how any mascara made my lashes look until now! It separates and lengthens my lashes and makes them appear fuller. WITHOUT SMUDGING, FLAKING OR CLUMPING!!!! And it comes off without pulling lashes out. Very happy with this mascara!
