Q
Can I use this in my arm pits to lighten them?
Asked by Dani
Official Answer By The Ordinary - Brand Engage
Glycolic Acid 7% Exfoliating Toner has been tested for use on the face, neck, and scalp. It can also exfoliate areas of the body experiencing rough and bumpy skin. However, we do not recommend applying this product to covered areas of the body such as the inner thighs or underarms, as these areas may have more sensitive skin, and the natural occlusion of these regions may make them more prone to irritation. Was this answer helpful to you
Q
Can i use the milky toner on top of the glycolic acid toner?
Asked by Karina
Official Answer By The Ordinary - Brand Engage
We recommend alternating the use of Saccharomyces Ferment 30% Milky Toner and Glycolic Acid 7% Exfoliating Toner since they both have exfoliating properties. Was this answer helpful to you
Q
Can this be used on a twelve year old's skin if they have acne that is not inflamed? No blemishes
Asked by Hi
Official Answer By The Ordinary - Brand Engage
The majority of our products are intended for adult skin. Though we have no reason to think that our products would be harmful for young people, less mature/younger skin is often more sensitive and frequently changing. For young people we recommend a simple routine of cleansing and hydrating as we do not want to interfere with skin development. For persistent skin issues or specific concerns, we suggest consulting with your doctor/dermatologist about safe and suitable treatments. Was this answer helpful to you
Q
I have a few questions. I don't know anything about skin care or beauty products in general. Can this toner be used on its own? Do I really need other products like cleanser or moisturizer or a serum? Will I still see results if I only use this serum?
Asked by Yosi
Official Answer By The Ordinary - Brand Engage

Q
Can this be used with the multi peptide antiaging eye serum?

Hi! We wouldn't recommend layering the two but they can be used at the time same. We would recommend applying Glycolic Acid 7% Exfoliating Toner to the undereye area. Was this answer helpful to you

Chemical Scalp Exfoliant - Helps Manage Dandruff & Oils

I use this product for "other than the intended purpose". Skin care is important to me, but I struggle with psoriasis/dermatitis which sometimes results in dandruff and a rough patch behind one ear. In the past I have tried glycolic acid for my face and it was terrible. More than just a purging, it...

Not a bad product, my skin just didn't care for it

Product came with 2 options to apply them with: a squirtle or a regular top lid thingy. I chose the squirtle and I'd spritz it on a bottom pad and swept across my face. It would sting me. I thought my skin was just not used to it. This was one of the first products I purchased when I got into skinca...

This item was promised to be so good for hyperpigmentation but have been using it for almost 4 months now and no visible changes. it does work as a chemical exfoliator, though.

I saw a derm recommend this on tiktok. I may be overreacting, but I feel like I saw results after the first night! I have hyperpigmentation in the bikini area since having a child (and I tend to tweeze down there) causing minor dark spots. I applied after showering and the next day my pores were smaller and skin smoother. It's only been 3 days of use and I'm excited for the future results. I'll be swimwear ready for summer. I did apply to my neck/chest and got a mild rash on my neck- I do have sensitive skin so this wasn't a surprise. I would like to use on my face but just the perimeter since the center of my face is the most sensitive. I'll be buying glycolic acid forever!

Not for oily skin

I really wanted to like this product but it didn't work well with my skin. I have oily skin and forehead acne. It made me even more oily and my acne was inflamed by it as well. Would not recommend if you are oily or have acne prone skin.

I recommend this to everyone

I bought this for my bumps on the back of my arms, it worked so well, I'm using on the dark skin on my elbow, tops of my toes, bikini line after waxing, legs after shaving, etc. I just swipe it over my skin after I get out of the shower before lotion. I've recommended it to several people now. They all love the price point and how easy it is to use. And much cheaper than any other bump removers/scrubs. I've only used on my face directly on the area (not all over) as needed (e.g. if I have a facial hair stuck under my skin, a dry patch on my cheek, clooged pores on my forehead from my sunscreen)

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend

I have been trying this product for a few months now and I absolutely love it. It does take time to see results but my skin is brighter.
