- STEP 1: WASH - Apply Essential Moisture Cleanser generously on wet hair. Massage vigorously into your scalp to break down dirt and product build-up. Rinse off thoroughly.
- STEP 2: DETANGLE & CONDITION - After washing with the Essential Moisture Cleanser, apply the Essential Moisture Conditioner generously on wet hair concentrating on the lengths and ends. Coat all strands evenly and gently detangle the hair to get rid of all knots. Let it sit for 1-2 minutes, then rinse.

Saved my hair!! Curls/waves are coming back!

I wish I got the name of the associate at my store who recommended this to me because she changed my relationship with my hair with this rec. I have fine wavy hair that used to be curlier when I was younger. I have been battling my hair for several years. I felt like no matter what cut I got, my hair wouldn't collaborate. It would ALWAYS be frizzy thanks to the humid environment I live in. I tried so many stylers, so many routines…just to be left with hair that only looks good on wash day and is frizzy and limp the rest of the time. I was so sad looking at old photos where my hair was curly and shiny. Turns out I likely just needed to let myself try a more expensive, higher quality product than the previous drugstore shampoo/conditioner/stylers I would use. I also learned about clarifying shampoo, which I use once every 4-8 weeks depending on what I've put in my hair. This is a "cleansing" shampoo, so it is meant for a pretty deep clean, but it's nowhere near as drying as a clarifying shampoo (which is pretty normal for those kinds of shampoos). It's formulated to be gentle and still deliver some moisture through lightweight oils. The conditioner is meant to follow up and you leave it on your hair for a few minutes. This one is a lightweight, creamy texture that delivers even more moisture. Then you follow with the leave in conditioner that ALSO reactivates our stylers between washes. Lastly, you finish with a wave enhancing spray that you scrunch up to seal your styler and keep your hair in shape! Guys, remember when I said I miss the curls I used to have? Well, they're coming back, slowly but surely and this is a gift I've been wishing for for YEARS. I look forward to wash days again and I love my hair again!!🥰 TL;DR: - It's a VERY easy and quick system to use. My hair has loved it! - Those of us with waves/a more subtle curl pattern and finer hair THRIVE on this because of the lightweight nature. - BUT If you have thick, super curly hair, this system likely will be too lightweight for your hair and not do much for it. You're probably better off using heavier products (I'm talking shea butter-based and similar) which, for me, weigh down my hair and don't do much for it. I find it fascinating how different our needs are!

My hair has been transitioning from straight to wavy/curly so I have been trying products to see what would help/work best. I was very excited to try this set. I was also very disappointed with it as well. The shampoo and conditioner made my hair feel very stringy and elastic, which I was not a fan of. The 2 other products that you use when your hair is wet do not seem to do much either. I noticed that they just weigh my hair down.

I picked this up the other day to try out. As always with Curlsmith it smells great. Shampoo was amazing, my hair was feeling very dry and dirty prior to washing, one wash and it felt clean without drying out. Conditioner is hydrating and removed tangles immediately. Moisture Memory does exactly what it says, left hair feeling super hydrated, but not heavy at all. Effortless Waves gave a beautiful soft bouncy wave/curl in my hair without crunch. The only reason I didn't give a 5 stars is I think as wavies we need a slight cast to help hold our waves and curls to last longer and help with any frizz which I didn't get from this. That said, I do absolutely love this set and would highly recommend. My hair is 2b-3a, high porosity, virgin hair, mid back length. I would absolutely rebuy this set, but if you're prone to frizz I would try adding a light oil prior to setting your hair, especially in the halo zone.
