Hold the CHI Lava Pro Spin N Curl vertically with the digital control side facing the head (''This side towards head'').
Take up to 1'' section of hair and lay the section into chamber. If larger sections are used, and the hair gets tangled the tangle alert will beep.
Press and continuously hold the arrow button in the desired direction to curl the hair. The hair strand will be automatically curled into the chamber and it will stop rotating.
You will hear 3 beeps once the curl is set.
Slide the tool in a downward motion to gently release the hair.

I purchased this about 6 months ago for my teen daughter. She didnt ask for it as she prefers a "lazy" look (not sure if thats a look she want or she just doesnt want to put in the effort) I liked what it claimed to do. I thought it would take the guess work out of hair styling and maybe she would eventually experiment with it. We are going to a wedding today and she finally pulled it out. Honestly I had to argue with her to let me use it first (I was worried about it tangling and ripping her hair out but you know teens… they know best) Anyway, this tool does exactly what it says. After the first few curls you get the hang of things. My curls are beautiful and it did it in less time than my curling iron. I have very thick, long hair and it was not a problem. A few times it tangled but i learned to take smaller sections and hold it closer to the scalp to avoid tangling. I purchased during rhe hair event while it was on sale. The normal price is high but after finding out how well it works I would consider purchasing it at full price. My daughter is currently in her room curling her own hair and I've only heard the anti-tangle feature go off a couple of times.
