Shampoo for Thinning Hair: Work a quarter-sized amount of shampoo into a lather between palms. Apply to wet hair and massage into scalp, starting at the nape of your neck, and work the lather through the ends. Rinse thoroughly.
Conditioner for Thinning Hair: Work a quarter-sized amount of conditioner between palms, apply to wet hair, from mid-shaft to ends; leave in for 1-3 minutes before rinsing thoroughly.
Minoxidil: Apply half a capful once daily directly to the scalp in the hair loss area. Massage into scalp with fingers, then wash hands.

That said, we aren't medical professionals so we cannot make any recommendations around illness or treatments. However, when your doctor says it's okay to proceed with our products, I would recommend our drug-free regrowth support which consists of Flourish Shampoo, Flourish Conditioner and nightly use of Density Booster. These are all-natural based ingredients, however, the botanical are highly active, which when highly sensitive during such treatments might not be doctor recommended. On another note: Minoxidil is not only medicated (therefore has some side effects) designed primarily for hereditary based hair loss. It's also designed for long-term use. i absolutely love the shampoo and conditioner. It is hard to find conditioner for fine hair that doesn't weight it down. I will rate this better than good if the whole set helps to keep my hair from thinning out even more. We'll see.
