They are highly effective in preventing the growth of fungi, bacteria, and yeast that could contaminate and degrade products. As part of our commitment to deliver high-quality, effective products, certain parabens are used in some of our formulations to ensure the safety of our consumers. Extensive research spanning decades has confirmed the parabens in our portfolio are safe at the concentrations we use. The U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA), which regulates the personal care industry, upholds these findings. While we take great care in evaluating each ingredient we use and are confident in our products’ safety, we know there is public conversation encouraging consumers to avoid certain ingredients, as is the case with some parabens. Based on growing demand for products that do not include parabens, we substituted them for other preservatives in some of our products. Consumers can look on our products’ labels to see what ingredients are included. Better than higher priced mascara
I just started using this after my budget took a hit and I needed a new mascara, Couldnt afford my usual 36$ one. Well was I surprised!! Ill be buying this one from now on. No more racoon eyes and stays on all day into the night. Definitely is waterproof but never flakes. And I can say it performs as well as a high priced mascara, Even better!! Thanks Maybelline !!!

I've been using this mascara for years. I don't like overly heavy or clumpy eyelashes. This goes on lightly and NO clumps! I can go over it more if I wanted more thickness but I think it gives more of a natural look.

The BEST mascara on the market. The formula gives me the perfect curl and STAYS PUT. And the applicator is the perfect shape for coating every lash without clumping. I have used this mascara since 2004, and it has never failed me. I feel naked without it, and other mascaras never measure up!
