Worked well but had a reaction
This primer seemed to worked well. I don't normally use a primer and noticed that my makeup stayed in placed all day. Unfortunately though I had an allergic reaction to this product. Better than other gripping primers
This primer is one of the best I've tried. I much prefer it to the elf hydro grip or other similar products. The essence one feels a little thinner and more hydrating/glowy while still helping your makeup to last longer. It does a great job smoothing and priming your skin. I have sensitive skin and didn't experience any issues. Normally, I don't find that primers really do much, but this one makes a noticeable difference.
Does not work
Other reviews say it's a dupe for the elf power grip primer but it's just not sticky at all to me. It smells like hair gel and feels like hair gel, but my makeup looks patchy with it and doesn't last for more than 20 minutes to me. It is just one of those cheap primers that just doesn't work. I love essence, but this primer is not it.

Very hydrating primer, it does get grippy, unsure why other reviews say it doesn't. my makeup lasts all day with this.

i wanted to try this as an alternative to elf, but it broke me out. i liked the texture and scent, but its not very gripping? i recommend spending the extra $4-5 on elf powergrip instead.
