Summary
Le Mini Macaron's Multi-Use Smoothing Builder Gel is a 5-in-1 formula must-have for any regular gel user. It works as a protective base coat to shield and smooth the nail surface before your gel polish application. It works especially well for regular users with thin and brittle nails.
Features
- It works like protective primer and base coat
- Can be used for nail extensions, nail repair, and applying nail gems
- Blending nail glitter and nail powder
- Color is semi-transparent with a hint of pink
Application is the same as LMM 1-step gel polish. Cure for 30 seconds under the mini macaron LED lamp (or 60 seconds under the maxi macaron LED lamp).
NOTE: the polish will be sticky after its cured. Apply 2 coats, and after the 2nd coat, you can:
- TO WEAR ALONE: Wipe with LMM nail cleanser to remove stickiness. And you're done!
- TO WEAR AS BASE COAT WITH GEL POLISH COLOR: Do not wipe after curing.
Directly apply LMM 1-step color over the builder gel. Cure color as usual, applying 2 coats. And you're done!
Precautions: For use on nails only. Avoid contact with skin. Follow instructions for application and removal. Do not use on infected or damaged nails. Avoid contact with eyes and mouth. In case of accidental contact, rinse with water. If symptoms worsen, contact a doctor immediately. Keep away from children. Store in room temperature environment, in dry location, away from the heat, heated surfaces and sunlight.

Thick and smooth but not 3 in 1
I was so excited to try this a week ago! I usually do my gel nails with a base coat, 2 color coats and a top coat and was excited to get this gel to simplify my routine. My gel nails usually last 2-3 weeks with very minimal chipping starting after week 3. I excitedly did my nail prep, 1 coat of this builder gel and a thin coat of a cat eye polish that laid on the sheer pink nicely. I was happy to finish my nails about 10 minutes sooner than normal. The burn on this stuff is REAL. Directions say to flash cure to prevent burn but I don't have a flash cure so I can't attest to this statement. I put my nails through the ultimate test and went rock climbing after. There was immediate chipping. One nail peeled totally off the next day and the tips of all my nails have chipped. Not sure if it's because of the thickness or the lack of base coat but it does not want to stick to my nails despite my normal meticulous prep and capping the free edges. I will try again with my base coat because the polish itself is beautiful and lays soooo smooth despite its thickness. 3 stars because it's beautiful but it's not a 3 in 1 if it needs a base coat to stick.

I was not sure if this product was going to work. I have been using builder gel from another brand which I do like. But I got it this weekend and I had to try it. I LOVED IT! I have been doing my nails at home for almost 3 years and trying different brands and so far this is the best. I am so happy I got it, thank you for doing this. I am looking foward to get the top coat. Super happy with my purchase.

I have been using le mini macaron for over 9 years now. I have very fragile nails and even with the semi-permanent they broke, so I started to apply a lot of layers (around 6) to create a real solid thickness, which would protect my nails. nail breaks. With this BUILDER GEL there is no need to do my 6 coats because it immediately creates a fairly thick base and I then add the color I want as usual, a real time saver! Plus, it creates a very even base, it's really great, I'm very happy that you released this product, it's become an essential!

I loved this! It made my gel manicure much easier to apply and seems to be lasting longer. It was super easy to use, I followed the instructions on the bottle. I have had no breakage or chips in a week.
