It disappears upon application so it will not help reduce redness. To neutralize redness we recommend MAC Studio Fix Every-Wear All-Over Face Pen. I already had the yellow and loved it so I decided to purchase the pink. I like it just as much as the yellow. This is an excellent primer that makes my skin smooth which allows my foundation and makeup to blend nicely without any patches or flakiness. It also brightens my skin. I wear it under makeup or on its own.

I have light to medium neutral olive skin tone. I was concerned that the yellow primer would make my skin look too yellow, but it has a nice brightening base under my foundation. If I want a more matte finish I use the studio powder over it. I am satisfied with this product.
