I LOVE the original version of this and expected to feel the same way about the waterproof version. As far as performance goes, I was happy with the results as it gave good definition, length, volume, and wasn't clumpy. But none of that is worth the awful process of removing it. Not buying again. Smudges under eyes when applied top or bottom. Very difficult to remove. If I want volume I have to apply lash primer.
Best Waterproof Mascara!
It's truly waterproof! It doesn't smudge or run. I've tried lots and lots of waterproof mascaras in my day. I found my holy grail with this one. I have hooded eyes and it doesn't transfer, or give me racoon eyes. It goes on smoothly and doesn't clump. I've had no problems removing with my Arcona White Tea cleanser or micellar water.
Best to coat
I coat this on top of my fenty mascara and it blends so well and keeps my lashes up 🙂↕️ (any negative comment is lying)

so hard to wash off
accidentally bought the waterproof version of this. i am an avid user of benefits bad gal bang and thought this could be a dupe because of the wand. i do like the length and thickness it gives my lashes, but it is extremely hard to wash off. i have to scrub my eyes every time i wear this with a washcloth to get it off, and even after minutes of trying to get it off, i still feel like it leaves residue on my lashes. will definitely try the regular version of this next time lol. but it definitely is a nice mascara for the price, i just feel like im losing so many lashes every time i wash this off.
