For some context I have 2b coarse dry and thick wavy hair. When I use this brush on my dry hair it detangles it very easily. I bought this for my daughter. She has wavy hair, and she likes to use it at night. She loves it. She has a very sensitive scalp and this does not over stimulate her while she's brushing.

This is a must buy item! My hair gets matted so easily especially overnight due to my autoimmune disease and this is the best brush I could have ask for. After a morning shower this brush detangles and make my hair silky smooth. I noticed that my hair doesn't matt as often anymore throughout the day either.

I wouldn't say it doesn't catch or snag because it does occasionally, but a lot less than with other brushes I've used in the past. My hair is prone to tangling easily so it's nice to have a brush that easily glides through my hair. I bought the kuromi one because she's my fave sanrio character. I will say that it will absolutely brush out your waves and make your hair poofy as a result but I use this brush before washing or restyling my hair so it's no big deal for me.
