bought this because i read titanium is better at straightening curly hair. but it doesnt live up to the same standards as the cermaic! doesn't leave your hair as sleek and shiny like the cermaic. save your money and buy the cermaic chi.

Hair Type Wavy Hair
I've had this hair straightener for over a year now and it is horrible . I had a Paul Mitchell hair straightener that was not heating up enough anymore. So I had to purchase a new one, My sister had a Chi and I knew how much she loved it. So I figured I'd invest in a high quality one but within a couple of months, I noticed my hair becoming more frizzy and unmanageable This straightener keeps snagging and breaking the hair as you do a pass, My hair gets pulled out and remains on the straightener. The cord twisted up as well and I don't stretch it out. Just stand in place while doing my hair. Please what ever you do buy another brand, I just don't think they are made as well as they use to be.
Favorite new Flat Iron for Fine hair
I own the same straightener but in 1in size and it's orange and love it. Now that my hair has grown long, I wanted to try the 1 1/4 in size (wish it came in 1 1/4 in) to make quicker work of straightening my hair. I bought it and agree with another reviewer that it works well on my very fine, thinning hair. I do use a heat protection spray before I blow-dry my hair and use this. (Right now I'm trying out the sample size Chi spray that came with the straightener and I like it so far, used sparingly) The only issue I have occasionally with this larger size is getting close enough to my roots to not leave the "line" in my hair from where I first place the iron. I think that's just a learning curve issue on my end though. Otherwise, I am happy with my purchase!
